Tuesday incisions

G'day again there friends. My but it has been a very long time since I have added to the blog hasn't it? I must apolligise for that, as I have been very distracted. So distracted in fact that I haven't even worked on the series in six weeks.
I'm currently on my mental health rotation in the hospital, and as you may have arealy guessed, being the canny reader that you are, that I am in fact not on the ward as I write this. That's because I do not like being on the mental health ward. Instead I take my mental health day-off listening to one of the very first, and very best Queens of the Stone Age songs, Spiders and Vinegroons. Awesome song.
I'm starting to freak out a bit about my overseas trip now. With less than two weeks to go, the weird dreams have begun. Mixed in with a dream about having a really hot girl snuggling up to me on the couch, is one of being on the plane when the proverbial shit hits the fan. We landed safely, but it was unpleasant never the less.
Anyway, enough daliance, what has been happening in Graeme-land I hear you ask?
You didn't ask that?
Oh my...
Maybe schizophrenia is contageous...

To be entirely honest, not a lot has really been going on. Mental health, as you may have gathered by now, is not my favourite branch of medicine. It's a shame too, because I have been seriously enjoying the opportunity to do some reading on psychology, and the theory really is fascinating. It's the reality that I don't enjoy. I can not stress enough about how I hate being around psychotic people. Being involved in a take down of a rabidly psychotic schizophrenic has been my low-point so far. I really don't like the guy, and I am increadbly non-plussed with his justification of the moment as well.
"I'm a violent schizophrenic. You come anywhere near me cunt, and I'll fucking take you down!"
Nice.
The other really crap part has been seeing first hand just how bad drugs can destroy your life. Up until the last 7 weeks, I have been pretty lax about drugs, and sort of taken the line that you can't criticise until you have been there and tried it yourself. Not anymore. I've seen far too many people brought in on a pot fueled schizophrenic psychosis from which a month later they had not fully recovered. And as for speed, you've got to be kidding. That stuff is so evil, I don't even have the full depth of words to explain why you need a good smacking for even thinking about trying it. Seriously! Why would anyone want to welcome a full-blown psychosis with open arms?
Lousy patient confidentiality. If I could tell you guys half the stuff I've seen this rotation... More effective than watching Trainspotting non-stop for 12 hours.
Yeah, it's been kind of getting to me, seeing these people, all around my age or younger being brought in, and thinking, 'That could be any number of the guys I used to hang around with in primary school.' Seriously, speed is a huge problem up here, and is wrecking the lives of a lot of people no different from any of us.
On a happier note, let's discuss paranoia for a while shall we?
Or not. I'll just leave it as, I think everyone is talking about me because I know that they are :P
Anyway, I've been doing road trips on alternate weekends this rotation, starting with a trip out ot the gemfields, then followed by the Bundy dinner party including the almighty dessert bake off (At which point I would like to add, although I said Bec's sticky date pudding got the gong, it was only because of the caramel sauce. No sour grapes there...), and up to Mackay this Friday to see the family before I cross the equator. I'm looking forward to it. All of it.
I hope you join me for the ride ;D
