Horseshoe Bay

The beach of my childhood. To this beach I compare all other beaches.
Three guys, a girl, a beach and a waterfall
G'day once again folks.
The Atherton trip was a good roadtrip, but I am still pretty buggered even now. There is something wrong with a 4 day, 2500+km round trip. I still can't believe Christian did all the driving either. Man of steel that one.
The course was educational I guess, and now we all know how to extract someone from a car wreck without breaking their neck. Unless they happen to be as tall as me and drive a Pulsar. In that case there is no way that sucker is coming out of that car with his neck intack and the roof untouched. One of them has to go.
The only thing that had me shitty about the weekend was that the course went from 7:30am to 6pm, so we had bugger all daylight with which to explore. I guess that means I have to go back at some point as a doc. Can't wait!
anyway's enjoy the pics, one being Horseshoe bay in Bowen, and the other Milla Milla falls on the tablelands. Both beautiful places worth visiting.
I saw Pete Murray and Ben Lee last night too. I'm not really a fan of either, but you get pretty starved for good live acts up here. I was surprised to find I enjoyed Ben more than Pete. Not what I was expecting. The Rocky crowd was very enthusiastic too, and to be honest, they were the best crowd I've ever seen at a gig. Ever. Impressive.
OK, bed time. Too much to do, and not enough time. Same old story as usual I'm afraid.
Cheers.

Where is the 7th Level?

Hey all.
Well no more Brunei posts, and in a way, I feel sad about that. I enjoyed writing 6 page word files about travel. I have always enjoyed reading travel naratives, so it was cool to live it for a while.
I guess I'm writing tonight because I am feeling a bit down. I haven't been sleeping too well lately, I think due to the heat or something. I always get a bit sulky when I am sleep deprived. I also think I'm a bit down about the last weekend.
We had a big party to farewell the 4th years, and to welcome the 1st years. I had a good time at the party, but I'd be lying if I said I was happy with how the night ended. It all comes down to a misunderstanding with one of the 4th years who's gone now. I really wanted things to roll up on a good note. I don't seem to be having a good run when it comes to either me, or other people leaving.
Still there's very little I can do about it now. I just hope they find out that they couldn't have got things more wrong, and they don't know me anywhere near as well as I thought they did.
Anyway, I'm off to Atherton for a road trip and trauma course this weekend, so I think it'll be a good break from Rocky. It'll give my soul a chance to stretch it's legs, as I said to a good friend recently. Should have a few good road trip photos to enjoy when I get back too.
Till then, take care.
